About

Dr. Jahnke began her career as an optician before becoming an optometrist and has over 15 years of experience in eye care. Dr. Jahnke decided to open inVista Optical in summer of 2016 in order to create a more patient-focused brand. Dr. Jahnke did not want her patients to feel like just another pair of eyes, but a part of the inVista family. She truly listens to her patients' needs and tries to meet them as best as she can. She is currently accepting new patients!

Dr. Jahnke received her external training at various medical clinics and practices across the Midwest including the John-Kenyon American Eye Institute in Louisville, Kentucky, Fort Knox Army Base-Ireland Hospital, and Indianapolis Eye Care Center. It was at these clinics where she received extensive training in fitting contact lenses and diagnosis and treatment of ocular diseases, such as diabetic retinopathy, macular degeneration, and cataracts.

Dr. Jahnke graduated from Indiana University School of Optometry in 2013. During her four years in school she was an active member in the American Optometric Student Association and a member of the Beta Sigma Kappa National Optometric Society.

She completed her undergraduate studies at Indiana University, where she graduated with a Bachelor’s degree in Nutrition Science. She is an active member of the Optometric Nutrition Society, which has allowed her to combine her passions for both eye care and nutrition. This allows her to discuss the importance of a proper diet as it relates to ocular and systemic health. She has had continuing education training to recommend the best ocular supplements for the treatments of various eye conditions, such as dry eye disease. 

Dr. Jahnke lives with her husband, Derek and their 3 children, Emmeline, Lillian, and Henry. Recently Dr. Jahnke moved away from the downtown area to the suburbs, but still enjoys getting out to her favorite local places to grab a bite to eat or a drink. 

Brooke was born and raised in Indiana. She has a passion for the optical industry and a unique talent for choosing the "perfect" pair of glasses for every individual that enters our office. She is well versed in every aspect of our office. Brooke can help you understand your insurance benefits, answer any question about the exam procedures and find the best lenses to fit your needs. Our patients love her welcoming attitude and bubbly personality.

In her free time she likes to spend time outdoors with her husband, son and their dachshund Ollie.

Taylor recently graduated from IUPUI. She joined our team to assist patients in scheduling exams and answering questions about benefits. Her friendly personality will make you feel welcomed and right at home.

In her free time she like to spend time with her boyfriend outdoors and cooking.

Richard has been with our office for a little under a year. He brings his styling expertise and knowledge form a long history in the optical field. He is ready to help you find that perfect frame that lets you feel and look your best!

When he is not at the office he enjoys spending time with his partner, Bethany and exploring all the local spots in Indy.
